Crazy for Crazy Pinz

While Papa and Tutu were in town to watch Max and Macy, we made time for a trip to Crazy Pinz.  After bowling, Papa and Max rode the bumper cars while David and Macy explored Ball-O-City.  Then we all went a little arcade-game-crazy!

 We realized that when bowling with kids (particularly two 3-year-olds) there is a lot of WAITING involved.  Those balls like to take their time getting down to the pins.

Chilly Challenge 2011

This morning, Keith and David braved the wintry weather to participate in the annual Chilly Challenge Bike Ride.  One of Keith's co-workers came along and the three of them rode 15 miles on the River Greenway.  


Along the way, they witnessed the polar bear club's plunge into an icy river and fought against some strong winds. Call it dedicated biking, call it a good workout... call it crazy, but I'm proud of my two biking boys.

We don't see Keith's Grandpa and his wife nearly as often as we'd like to, so we were so happy when they came for a visit this month.  It's always great to talk with them...and they seem to love seeing David.  This was their first meeting with Lida - Papo held her nearly the whole time!


Keith has his Grandpa's height, and I'm guessing that David is going to end up with it, too.  Lida, on the other hand, has Papo's ears (at least that's what Keith thinks).  I'm hoping that one of them ends up with his woodworking skill so that they can build me lots of beautiful furniture.

Macy Mondays

We LOVE Macy Mondays!!  David loves having a playmate all day long, and I love how well he and Macy play together and keep each other entertained.

Fall Fun at Grandma & Grandpa's House

We enjoyed a fun fall afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa Dimock's house.  David was super excited about having a campfire and really enjoyed playing with his cousins.

Wordless Wednesday: Zoo Fun

Master Keith

Congratulations Keith!  I couldn't be more proud of you...earning your Masters Degree in a short 14 months.  And now you've got the fancy paper to prove it.  Way to go!

Yes, we have no bananas

David has taken to throwing fits when he doesn't get his way.  I know I shouldn't be surprised...many people have told me that when it comes to terrible, threes are the new twos.  

And yet, this morning I had to step back and watch in awe as my sweet little boy cried and whined and yelled and pleaded with me for bananas in his cereal.  

Simple request, I know...but there were no bananas in the house.  And of course, there was no reasoning with him ("I can't put bananas in your cereal if we don't have any bananas.") or consoling him ("Let's go add bananas to the grocery list right now so that we have some for tomorrow morning.").  

My favorite moment in the half-hour long fit was when he asked me with great urgency to "please plant a banana tree so I can have bananas on my cereal."

And after all that, the solution was as simple as pie...er...carrots.  That's right, he finally came to terms with the fact that we had no bananas and opted for carrots in his cereal instead.  And yes, he ate it right up.
