David's birthday gift from Keith and I was a trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum to see the Bob the Builder Exhibit. We were a little nervous about toting Lida around the museum all day, but we just couldn't pass up this opportunity for our Bob-the-Builder-crazed kid.
At first, David was overwhelmed by the exhibit. There was so much to see and do that he had a hard time settling down to do any one thing. He seemed to be a bit frustrated that the tools and building materials were all spread out. He kept trying to take tools from one activity over to another - he was ready to build!
We spent quite a bit of time in the Bob the Builder exhibit and then moved on to a few other areas of the museum. At the end of our visit we stopped by Bob the Builder again and were just in time to do a real hands-on building project.
Before leaving Indy, we ate at Joe's Crab Shack (to celebrate my birthday) and stopped by Trader Joe's. We were all exhausted by the time we arrived home, but happy to have spent such a fun day together.
